The American National Security Issue al affiliation: The American National Security Issue The concerns raised by Michael Scheuer generates immense basis of truth as much as the fight against Mujahidin is in question. It is true the threat by the evolutionary movement is real and thus, measures to containing the problem are necessary. Information from the United States officials, generals and politicians from both the parties states that there exists no military solution to the war waging towards the United States. The question that most of these officials answer is whether there is a military solution to the above problem. Whereas, the issue that needs to be in question should be on whether there exist a legitimate threat to the genuine United States national interests that need military intervention (Byman, 2014). The question as to why there exists no military solution is also another key issue not given attention and no question asked on the same. The previous weeks, the refinement of ‘no military solution to Islamist problem’ mantra, came from the admiral, who is also the public spokesman of the Pentagon. In his press conference with the journalist, something akin to America is fighting an ideology that military power had no ability to defeat came out (Byman, 2014). No questions concerning the ideology materialized on the spoken date with the journalists. From the above events, it is easier to conclude that neither the journalist nor the admiral has ever came across the notion called National Socialism. The National Socialism, utterly overcome by the military ability of the United States, Britain and the Soviet Union. In addition to the above, the American Civil War by Grant Sheridan and Sherman used unrelenting military force to guarantee individual rights and freedom. In my view, the Islamic State is one of the many United States military ally. The view of the politicians that the military is not worth a tinker in fighting the mujahideen rebels is a cover up of the truth. One of the underlying factors to these sentiments, is on the fact that the larger organization of the IS holds large arrays of material assets that are more likely to get permanently destroyed if aerial attacks occur (Byman, 2014). For instance, the Islamic states in Iraq and Syria controls oil and gas field refineries’; dams and power plants infrastructures’ that generate electricity, as well as agricultural and industrial facilities. All these elements generate a substantial profit to the Islamic State. The money-making potential of Islamic State is what brings about the concern, to America, Britain and NATO, when it comes to dealing with this type of mujahideen. If the above assertion is true, then immediate military action is currently at hand (Byman, 2014). From the above analysis, it is clear that most of the involvement of the United States military in the Arab conflicts is not in the larger interest of the American citizens. In most of President Obama’s speeches’, the superiority of the American air power, with or without its allies, has always taken the center stage to averting any National threat by the mujahideen. With a lot of finances channeled in this direction, more debts accrue, and most of the military personnel will lose their lives in the act. The move by the United States government in fighting the Islamic State is not what it appears to be (Byman, 2014). All these acts are just to enhance better public relations between the United States and its European allies, in a manner that it does not raise the ire of the effete allies and the media. The constitution and laws of the United States allow the President to use any the available resources and means to protect the sovereignty of the country, as well as that of its citizen. However, not all the undergoing’s in the United States construes, as the endorsement of the United States-led war against the Islamic State organization. As much as Washington keeps making interventions into the Muslim world, it should also know that the borders of the United States are open. The above borders align with Israel, Saudi-Arabia and the Shia-dominated Iraqi regime (Byman, 2014). Availability of mujahideen fighters in these states itself offers a major security concern to the United States. If the threat from these states, not successfully averted with the any immediate means, the al-Qaeda, Islamic states as well as other militant groups, is likely to pick up. In addition, even receive more funding from allied states. It is this attitude of success by the Islamic state that threatens the security of America, as well as that of the allied European Union countries. It is observable that under both President Obama and Bush regime, the United States of America is deliberately impotent in its military sense and abilities. The best available defense of the Americans is to encourage but not to be a member in the looming Sunni-Shia sectarian conflict in the Arab world, especially in Syria and Iraq. The above move is in the general interest of America, so as to avoid a repeat of the Afghanistan scenario. General Sherman once said that, America and Mercy only serve best by the overwhelming insertion of lethal force in the bid, to eradicating and destroying the enemy with it supporters within the shortest time (Byman, 2014). In line with Michael’s views, the Islamic State is an evolutionary movement and has consistently become stronger since 1988, with the formation of Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda, currently, is a small unit within the larger self-perpetuating IS. What is visible in Iraq is just the final stage of the insurgent’s actions, which is also the beginning of semi-conventional battle-harden units. With the Remarks from the Secretary of Defense that the United States face threats from various terrorist organizations, the protection of its territories is not an option but a necessity. Any organization that threatens this larger economy and its citizen pose an economic crisis as well. The views are in line with the notion of the investors who require security assurances before investing in the States (Byman, 2014). The congress must introduce laws that aim at presenting the concerns of the State Citizens, and increased military interventions in the areas that are threatened by the Islamic uprisings. The threat will continue to exist if the enemy also exists. Also in the mind of the lawmakers should be the notion that, when an intervention comes about and fail, the enemy gets much stronger than before. Calculated moves with appropriate military interventions are inevitable if the battle against the Islamic State is to be successful. Reference Byman, D. (2014). Buddies or Burdens?
