Actor Peter Weller hosts this film for 1 hour and 32 minutes and presents brilliant computer-generated graphics which attempt to recreate the process of how various obelisks and pyramids were constructed. This movie documents the five thousand years old mind-boggling construction of the ancient Egyptians. The 14 documentaries include two feature-length specials that revive the spectacular glory of the past ranging from the great temple of Greece to the mysterious Tenochtitlan. From the movie, we come to know a great deal about the great Sesotris III and his reign.

We learn that Sesotris III or the pharaoh of Egypt ruled from 1878 BC to 1839 BC. He was the fifth monarch of the Twelfth Dynasty of the Middle Kingdom. The film also throws a great deal of light on the personality of the king. By watching the movie, we get to know that he is the most powerful monarch of the Egyptian ruler of his time and his military campaigns led to the economic prosperity of the land which consequently reduced the power of the regional rulers and paved the way for the revival of the craftwork, trade and the urban development.

The prime objective of this pharaoh’s reign was to assure complete internal and external sovereignty thereby establishing an environment for economic growth and prosperity in the land. His establishment of great and majestic architecture was for the assurance of the fact that the reign of this king was magnificent and great.
