Question 7Socrates says that he cannot fail to practice philosophy as he wants to lead a good life. This is because at one point everyone will die. Therefore, the best thing to do is to live a good life. Question 8God is traditionally given three highest attributes: all-powerful (omnipotence), all-knowing (omniscience), and supremely good (Omni benevolence). This means that he knows everything and has the powers to do any kind of thing. He is a good and a perfect God.Question 9The design argument claims that the operations of the world are too complex and could not have come by chance; hence God exists.

Question 15Van concludes that even if it is impossible to determine a true hypothesis, there must be something that accounts for the fine-tuning of nature.

Therefore, there is an external force that brought forth the universe.Question 17The principle of sufficient reason stipulates that everything that happens has a cause.Question 18Aquinas claims that anything in motion is put into that motion by an external force. Question 22The main arguments against cosmology are the question of who created God, and that not everything that exists is caused by another.Question 23Paul Edwards argues that even if something must exist to cause another, this does not justify the existence of God. It only explains there is something strong.
