g teams, reducing the organizational levels and letting in an open exchange of ideas and information within each and every group, and this in turn created an abundant source of knowledge leading to innovative solutions and ideas to the company’s workflow. This was the strategy of Irizar in increasing productivity, worker and customer satisfaction, which subsequently gained a competitive advantage over other luxury coach manufacturers in Europe. Innovation has various definitions, most of which point to the production of new and increasingly-efficient systems of production, such as the introduction of new technology and its use, radical changes in terms of workflow processes, and a development of a set of routines based on collected and analyzed information (du Plessis, 2007).

Constant innovation means that there must be a continuous process of the collection of knowledge, designing of workflow, as well as the assessing of the results’ efficiency and quality. The use of such a strategic work program in organizations or companies and the imbibition of such ideals create a culture of innovation that gives the organization or company a competitive edge among others. However, this is rather difficult to implement in many groups or organizations due to deeply-rooted ideals such as capitalist-worker differences, numerous levels within an organization, the detachment and lack of ownership among workers with the company’s goals and achievements, and low motivations for growth and development among employees (Forcadell & Guadamillas, 2002).

In order to increase productivity, motivation, and competitive advantage, the use of knowledge management strategy must be implemented to harness the creation of innovative ideas from people from the heart of the organization or company.
