The overall impetus is thereby to develop a mechanism which will help the organization to carry out the needful process in the effective manner and will even require having more and more different parameters which can be defined so that employees can be selected based on it Aim The report looks towards achieving the following Identifying the strategies which will help to select the correct candidate based on job responsibility, job requirements and other characteristics so that the correct candidate can be selected Determining the manner in which effectiveness in recruitment, selection and induction process can be ensured so that the overall manner in which the organization looks to work can be achieved Identifying the manner in which organizations needs to develop their recruitment, selection and induction process so that the process helps to hire the correct manpower and provides maximum advantage in hiring people Determining the different mechanism through which overall effectiveness can be ensured and the manner in which organization will be able to provide better manpower based on the different needs and requirements of the organization Scope The scope of the paper is limited to identifying the different recruitment process, selection process and induction method which can be used by organization. This process will help to find out the different dimensions which organizations need to work on and will be able to determine the path through which overall momentum and effectiveness can be achieved in improving the business process. The scope is also limited to human resource function and will look at evaluating the same for all organization and not look to be specific on a particular job or need of the organization. Recruitment Process Organizations while looking to carry out the business function has to ensure that the recruitment process which is followed matches the needs and requirements of the organization. This will require working on different areas and looking to invite maximum applications from different by having proper job advertisements so that a large amount of people can be looked at (Arnold, 2005). The process should be such that while looking to recruit people maximum number of people is invited and the process should be such that it looks at employing strategies through which better opportunities of selecting the candidate can be ensured. This has to be matched by the different recruitment process and needs to analyze the different skills of the candidate with the needs of the organization so that the process looks at selecting the best candidate. This has to be a measure where the nature of the job is properly identified and the business is able to develop appropriate strategies so that the overall long term prospect of selecting the candidate improves. Key Recruitment Criteria Organizations looking to recruit new people have to undergo a process of proper job analysis so that complete details and areas regarding the manner in which people will be selected is undertaken. Having proper analysis of the job and providing complete description regarding the job will help both the organization and the candidates. The candidates based on it will be able to understand the different job requirements and will be able to match those with his skills. The organization will be in a place where they will be able to analyze the different factors which will act as a starting point in selecting the different candidates and the manner in which selection or rejection of the candidate will take place. This will help to improve the process of recruitment as the method will help to select the correct and prospective candidate and will guide the management in being able to develop appropriate strategies for fulfilling the future manpower needs. Some of the important aspect which needs to be analyzed and looked at while looking to select the prospective candidate is as Having a clear description regarding the educational qualification which the candidate needs to possess for applying for the job. This has to be matched by a complete description of the past experience which is essential for applying for the job. The description regarding the above points have to be clearly mentioned in the advertisement circulars so that the candidates are able to understand the different requirements and can match those with his own. This will ensure that people having the required educational qualification and experience applies and will help to save time of screening the candidates who don’t have the required qualification which the job requires The job circular or the advertisement also need to have clear description regarding the other skills like communication skills, negotiation skills, motivational skills, and other skills which are essential for the job (Dipboye, 2002). The advertisement circular should be descriptive regarding it and should make the candidate understand the job requirements and the additional skills which will be required for achieving those. This will help to reduce the risk and will provide a framework through which correct selection of personnel becomes possible. The organization has to further ensure that maximum candidates apply for the different job positions which will require that advertisements are provided in leading circulars and journals. Further the advertisement should reach to a maximum number of people and should be able to ensure that maximum people respond in a positive manner. The organization has to be circumvent in choosing the different newspaper and other media so that the budget which is spent on inviting application from different people fetches maximum response and provides maximum advantage so that more and more people can be recruited Recruitment Methods Organizations to ensure correct selection of the personnel has to further look at developing appropriate recruitment strategies which will look towards working on the different fundamentals so that correct and prospective candidate is selected. The ability of the organization to work on different dimensions and identifying the most appropriate recruitment method will help to evaluate the manner in which recruitment process needs to be carried. The process of selecting recruiting candidates can change and the organization might use multiple method depending on the vacancy, post and other factors which the organization feels is imperative and will help the organization in selecting the best candidate so that the different job responsibilities can be carried out effectively. Some of the recruitment methods which organizations tend to employ are Job Evaluation: This method looks at providing complete details regarding the job so that candidate applying for the job can match it and based on the fact that the criteria is achieved can apply for the job. Organization while looking to carry out the function of job evaluation provides description regarding different aspect like to age, experience, qualification, soft skills and other basic requirements for the job (Hogan, 2001). This helps the organization and the candidate to understand the different job requirements and areas based on which a candidate will be selected or not selected. This helps in screening of the application and sets the basic benchmark which has to be achieved while looking to apply for the job. The process leads towards effectiveness and multiples the overall value through which organization carries out the process of recruitment and helps to find out the most prospective candidate. This method has its advantage as it looks at helping the candidate to take important and valuable decisions through which the overall importance and value through which decisions are taken can be improved. Advertisements: Organizations has to further look at ensuring that maximum number of people apply for the different vacancies so that the organization has different options to select the most prospective candidate. The process will help to receive applications from different corner of the country and will maximize the overall chances of being effective as the process would lead towards finding out the most prospective candidate who can carry out the different functions in the most effective manner. Further this process will also help the organization to ensure that the different vacancies have many applicants and will provide an opportunity to screen the different candidates before selecting the best one. Skill or Head Searching: This method looks at identifying the skills of the candidates and employing them for the different vacancies from within or outside the organization. Organization based on the skills of the candidates within the organization can look towards selecting them for higher position in the organization. Since, the organization is in a place where they understand and have a good knowledge about the different skills which the employees possess so moving them ahead for higher position within the organization becomes easy and provides an avenue where the organization is able to carry out the process of succession planning. This process helps to save the additional cost for the business and provides an important direction through which the overall value and fundamental which will support growth can be ensured.
